Club Champions

Beginning in 2011, the club introduced a bit of friendly competition for its members. The club honors two club champions, one for each gender, based on the following ranking system:

Each member will receive one point for every event participated in;
Third place finishers of each race will receive one additional point;
Second place finishers of each race will receive two additional points; and lastly
First place finishers of each race will receive three additional points.

Relay teams are ineligible for the ranking system above but relay members do receive one point each for participating in events. Even though there will only be one Club Champion for each gender, members finishing in 2nd and 3rd place will also be recognized.

The recognized champions will hold the trophy and accompanying plaque for the entire following year i.e. until the next club champions are recognized. The results will be announced at the annual Ironman / Holiday party if possible.
